Apostolic Nuncio in Central America ( Guatemala , Honduras , Costa Rica , Nicaragua , Panama and El Salvador ) from July 8, 1926 to October 18, 1930. Apostolic Nuncio in Haiti and the Dominican Republic with October 18, 1930 to August 8, 1936. Apostolic nuncio in Argentina from August 8, 1936 to January 26, 1953. Apostolic nuncio in Italy from January 6, 1953 to December 15, 1958. Cardinal priest from December 15, 1958, with the title of church pro illa vice San Paolo alla Regola since March 12, 1959.
