History
The ancient city of Junkka, identified today with the archaeological site of Ounga, which are located on the territory of today's Tunisia , was located in the Roman province of Africa . In the first centuries of Christianity, Junk was the center of the eponymous diocese, which is mentioned in the "Notitia Episcopatuum" .
Since 1933, the Diocese of Timida has been the titular diocese of the Roman Catholic Church.
