Content
Geography
The settlement is located in the north-east of the region, in the basin of the Ukhra River and its tributaries. In the east, the settlement borders with Tutaevsky , and in the north with Poshekhonsky districts of the Yaroslavl region. To the south of the settlement is Nazarovskoye , and to the north-west of Ogarkovskoye are rural settlements of the Rybinsk district.
History
Arefinsky rural settlement was established on January 1, 2005 in accordance with the law of the Yaroslavl region No. 65-z of December 21, 2004 “On the names, boundaries and status of municipalities of the Yaroslavl region” [3] , the boundaries of the rural settlement are established within the administrative boundaries of the Arefinsky rural district .

On the territory of the rural settlement there are several monuments of natural and cultural heritage:
- Church of the Nativity of Christ 1779 - Arefino village.
- Church of Elijah the Prophet of 1843 - Arefino village.
- The general layout of the village of Arefino in the Ukhra river valley.
- Residential carved wooden houses in Arefino village.
- Manor park with an area of 1.5 hectares with a pond in the estate of the Princes Ukhtomsky (homeland of Academician A. A. Ukhtomsky ) in the village of Vosloma.
- The Church of Our Lady of Smolensk in 1812 in the village of Nikolo-Tropa, 1 kilometer from the village of Ovinischa.
- Hydrological objects of natural heritage (a unique ecosystem of the river, botanical objects of natural heritage, sections of indigenous pine forests with an area of less than 100 hectares, to the south - habitats of acclimatized and reactivated species of animals under regional protection) in the village of Sakha.
- The Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker of 1774 and the Church of the Transfiguration of 1763, ancient burial in the cemetery, a linden alley with trees 150 years old in the village of Spas-Ukhra (the territory is closely connected with the biography of St. Seraphim Vyritsky ).
- Manor complex, landscape and historical area, unique landscape in the Uhra river valley.
- The estate of the Nebolsins- Listratovs with a 3-hectare park with plantings of valuable species of 150-200 years old in the village of Cheremushki.
