About the album
Earth Moving became Mike's first album, in which there is not a single instrumental composition. The entire track list consists of pop and rock songs. After the release of this album, a turning point came in Oldfield's work - he began to compose instrumental music more and more, while songs became rare guests on his albums. Only in 2014, Mike again released a purely song album - Man On The Rocks .
