Biography
In February 1719, the mighty Seyyid brothers organized a palace plot, as a result of which the Mughal Padish Faruk Siyyar was ousted from the throne. He was imprisoned and starved to death. On February 28, the former padishah was blinded, and in April strangled. The Sayyid brothers seated Rafi ud-Darajat, the cousin of Faruk Siyyar, on the vacant throne.
However, in June 1719, the sick Padish Rafi ud-Darajat transferred the throne to his older brother Rafi ud-Daule .
