Craterostigmus tasmanianus (lat.) Is a species of millipedes of the genus Craterostigmus from the order Craterostigmomorpha of the class of the leg-footed . Endemic of Tasmania ( Australia ) [2] [3] [4] . Greenish-brown millipedes with a reddish-brown head and a body length of up to 5 cm, which consists of 21 tergites. Legs 15 pairs. The species Craterostigmus tasmanianus was first discovered and described in 1902 by the British zoologist Reginald Innes Pocock (1863-1947). The type species of the genus Craterostigmus has been the subject of numerous studies [7] [8] [9] [10] .
