Geophilidae (lat.) - a family of leg-footed centipedes [3] . They have more than 33 pairs of short legs, a long filiform body (50-90 mm). Distributed around the world, found in various ground shelters and moist places. They feed on a variety of small arthropods [4] . May cause myriapodiasis . 150 genera and more than 560 species [5] taking into account the families of Chilenophilidae (about 50 genera and more than 100 species [6] ), Sogonidae (North America) [7] and Soniphilidae (North America and Java) [4] included in the geophilids 8] [9] .
