Release History
The coin was first issued in 1866, metal - silver , diameter 38 mm, weight 26.96 g, thickness 2.8 mm. Over the next three years, 2.109.000 units were produced.
Later, in 1960, production continued. The alloy of coins and their characteristics was changed. The alloy is copper-nickel, diameter 30 mm, thickness 2.25 mm and weight 11.66 g. The coin came out of circulation only in 1978.
All coins after 1993 featured the inscription QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND [1] .
In 1993, the portrait of Elizabeth II was replaced by Bauchinia , and coins also look today. [2]
