Content
Geographical position
Located on the banks of the Topolyovka River in the continental part of Chukotka.
The distance to the district administrative center is 240 km, to the city of district significance - 810 km.
Mandrikovo - Anyuisk automobile winder passed through Dalniy.
History
The village was founded by gold miners of the mine of the same name, created on July 1, 1978 [2] , which is part of the Bilibino GOK . Like many similar settlements in Chukotka, it is in the process of liquidation [3] .
The streets of the village [4] : Gornyakov, Green, Embankment, Topolevaya, Transport, Central.
In 1981, one of the world's largest iron meteorites , called Bilibino, was found in the vicinity of the village [5] .
