Nikolai Nikolayevich Akhverdov ( October 15 [27], 1841 [1] - not earlier than 1901) - major general, participant in the suppression of the Polish uprising of 1863, of the Russian-Turkish war.

Biography
Born October 15 (27), 1841 in the family of a Russian general of Georgian origin Nikolai Alexandrovich Akhverdov . March 15, 1845 was granted a page. From pages he was made into the cornet of Vladimir of His Imperial Majesty the Grand Duke Mikhail Nikolaevich regiment. On January 4, 1863, he was assigned to the Life Guards Dragoon Regiment, where he was transferred on August 24 of the same year. He participated in the suppression of the Polish rebellion of 1863. For the difference in this case, on May 23 he was awarded the Order of St. Anne of the 4th degree with an inscription for courage. From August 30, 1866, the captain, on August 30, 1869, was promoted to headquarters captain and captain from August 30, 1875.
To mobilize the guard, Nikolai Nikolayevich as part of the regiment went on a campaign on August 4, 1877. On August 25, crossing the border by the sea, Skulyan entered Romania. On September 14, the regiment crossed the Danube and on October 6 entered the Pleven detachment, and on the 26th as part of the western detachment of General Gurko.
Together with the regiment, Nikolai Nikolaevich participated in many matters and on January 6, 1878, when the cavalry attacked from Philipolus to Andrianopolis, he was wounded by a bullet in his right hand and was taken under the auspices of the Alexander Committee on the wounded. For the difference in the Russian-Turkish war, Akhverdov was awarded many orders.
April 23, 1881 promoted to colonel. On August 30 of the same year, for excellent diligent service, he was awarded a gift by rank. November 29, 1887 was appointed chief of staff No. 11 of the cavalry reserve, with enrollment in the army cavalry. On the occasion of this appointment, he passed the post of headman of the regimental church, which was appointed January 25, 1873. March 26, 1898 was appointed head of the 6th brigade of cavalry reserve, and held this position at least until September 1901 [1] . In 1896 he was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir of the 3rd degree [1] .
