Bentamka , or bantamka ( born Bantam ), is a decorative dwarf breed of domestic hens [1] . Originally from Asia ( Indonesia , China , Japan ).

General characteristics
The live weight of roosters is 0.6-0.9 kg, and hens 0.45-0.65 kg.
Egg production - 90-150 eggs per year. The instinct of incubation is developed.
Varieties
The following varieties of bentamok are distinguished [1] :
- Sebright bows,
- Japanese
- fighting
- Beijing
- black and white,
- Nanking
- chintz,
- nutty.
In Russia , amateur poultry farmers and the gene pool collection of the All-Russian Scientific Research and Technological Institute of Poultry ( Sergiev Posad, Moscow Region ) have chintz and walnut bentamki. The live weight of roosters of these varieties is 0.9 kg, and laying hens are 0.5 kg. Egg production - 130-150 eggs, egg weight - 44 g.
The chintz rooster has a black chest and a trunk with white spots on the feathers , tail feathers are black with a green tint. The chicken has a red-brown plumage with white spots. The color of the legs and skin is light yellow.
The nut-type rooster has a red-brown coloring of the head and mane, the tail is black with a greenish tint. The chicken has a gray-brown plumage.
