Taskin, Vsevolod Sergeevich

His father, Sergei Afanasevich Taskin , a deputy of the State Duma of Russia, a member of the Transbaikal government of the chieftain G.M.

In 1933, during the Manzhou-Guo era, Taskin graduated from the 7-year-old gymnasium at the Pedagogical Institute in Harbin . He studied Chinese at the East Economics Department of the Faculty of Law , from which he graduated in 1937.

He serves in the Control Department of the Harbin Duty Bureau, which collected taxes from commercial, industrial and public institutions, which included restaurants and brothels. Then he moved to the Harbin Plywood Factory. Here from 1941 to September 1945 he performed various duties: from a translator to the head of an agricultural farm owned by the owners of the factory.

Diligently attended Japanese language courses.

From September 1945 to October 1947, V. S. Taskin worked as a translator in the Translation Department of the Office of the Black Sea Railway in Harbin, and was engaged in translations from Chinese for the TARB office in Harbin. From October 1, 1947 to July 7 [555] 1950, V. S. Taskin was a translator in the Department of the Trade Representation of the USSR, then in the legal department of the Joint-Stock Company “I. J. CHurin and K ° ». He served as an interpreter in the office of the Chief Director of the Chinese state-owned company Churin, which played an important role in the development of trade in Northeast China.

In 1952, his father died. Vsevolod Taskin moved (or was deported) to the USSR with his wife, two children, sister and widowed mother. From July 1954 to May 1955, he worked in Northern Kazakhstan as a dispatcher of the MTS fleet named after A.S. Pushkin. He moved to the Moscow region, where he managed to find housing in the village of Malakhovka . June 4, 1955 became a freelance editor at Goslitizdat . On September 30, 1957, he was enlisted as a junior research fellow at the Institute of Sinology.

In 1970, Taskin was enlisted as a senior research fellow.

Taskin worked with R.V. Vyatkin (1910-1995) on the translation of " Shi Ji " by Sima Qian, he also took an active part in compiling the Great Sino-Russian Dictionary, over which a large team of Sinists led by I.M. Oshanin (1900-1982).

In 1968 he defended his thesis on "Materials on the history of the Huns (according to Chinese sources)" and published a number of works on the history of relations between China and neighboring peoples - the Huns and Khitan.

The main place among the works of V. S. Taskin is occupied by works on the history of nomadic peoples in China. He introduced into scientific circulation a huge body of information from Chinese sources: “Materials on the history of the Huns (according to Chinese sources)” in two issues (M., 1968 and 1973), “Materials on the history of the ancient nomadic peoples of the Donghu group” (M., 1984), as well as the series “Materials on the History of Nomadic Peoples in China of the 3rd — 5th Centuries,” conceived by the author of the translation in four issues. During the life of V. S. Taskin, three issues were published - on the Hun, Jie and Husbands (1989, 1990 and 1992), the fourth issue, devoted to materials on the history of di and qiang, was published in 2012.

An important place in the scientific heritage of V. S. Taskin is occupied by his Russian translation of the work of E Lun-li “ Tsidan go chzhi ” - “History of the Khitan state” (M., 1979) and the monument “Guo yu” (“Speech of the kingdoms”).
