Amza Pella ( rum. Amza Pellea ; April 7, 1931 - December 12, 1983) - Romanian actor. For viewers in the former Soviet Union, he is best known for the roles of Decebal in the films " Dacians " and " Column ", as well as Mihai the Brave in the film of the same name . Biography
Amza Pella was born on April 7, 1931 in the city of Bailesti , Oltenia , Romania . In 1956 he graduated from the Karadzhale Institute of Theater and Cinema . In the same year he made his debut at the National Theater of Craiova . Since 1961, after the first role in the film "Thirst" ( rum. Setea ), he regularly acted in films. He played in the Comedy Theater and the National Theater (Bucharest), and later returned to Craiova again. At the same time, he starred in such films as Ducky, Mihai the Brave, Always Guilty, a popular cycle about the adventures of Commissioner Miklovan and Commissioner Roman and others. In 1973-1974 he was the director of the National Theater of Craiova. In the late 1970s, he created the image of Uncle Marina - a bright, folk character of a joker from Oltenia, who later became extremely popular. He died on December 12, 1983 from cancer . He was buried in Bucharest at Bella Cemetery .
