Crying song

"Crying Song" ( Rus. Song-crying, crying song ) - a song by Pink Floyd from the 1969 album More - the soundtrack to Barbet Schroeder 's film "More" ( More ). Presented on the first side of the LP is the third track [1] [2] [3] . The author of the music and lyrics of the song “Crying Song” is Roger Waters [~ 1] , the vocal part in this song is performed by David Gilmore . The line “let me roll away the stone” is an image that Waters returns to later in the lyrics of Animals and The Wall [4] .

In the movie “More”, the song “Crying Song” sounds closer to the ending, played by a cassette recorder, accompanying the frames of the main characters talking in the room, Estella draws a picture while Stefan smokes a pipe. Stefan tells Estella that he has received an advance and is going to pay Wolf. Excerpts from “ Up the Khyber ” sound immediately after “Crying Song”.
