Sergey Shalunov. Touring Light Class, Stage 8, Smolensk Ring

There are 8 classes in RRC: Touring, Super-Production, Touring Light, National, MitJet, Legends, GT and Formula Russia. The following classes are grouped into separate races according to engine size: “United 2000” includes “Touring” and “Super-Production”, “United 1600” - “Touring Light” and “National”. The stage consists of three days: one training and two racing.

Qualification

All classes undergo mandatory qualification, according to the results of which the starting grid of the race is formed. During the qualifying race you must show the best lap time on the track.

Classes "United 1600" , "United 2000" : the first qualification is 20 minutes, the second - 10 minutes. (in the second qualification pilots take part in the first qualification places from 1 to 6).

Classes "Legends", "MitJet" and "Formula Russia" : qualification 20 min.

Class "GT-Rus" : qualification 30 min.

During this time, it is necessary to show the best possible result, however, if you wish, you can leave the race earlier. According to the results of qualification races, the starting grid of the race is formed.

The Legends class also hosts an additional five-lap race (25 min) - Hit - the results of which are added to the qualification results to form the starting grid of the main race.

Racing

Combined race 2000. Stage 3, Nizhny Novgorod ring

“Combined 2000” and “Combined 1600” : during the stage, two races of 30 minutes are held, during which the field rides 15 laps. During the first race, the peloton passes the so-called warm-up lap behind the safety car to bring the tires into working condition (warm up), and when the safety car leaves the track, the riders start on the move. In the second race, the reverse start procedure is applied. The six pilots who showed the best results in the first race will start in the reverse order (the sixth one will start first, the fifth - second and so on), the rest - according to the occupied places. The start is given from the spot - after the warm-up lap, the pilots again stop on the starting line and wait for the judge's signal.

"GT-Rus" : during the stage one race is held, which lasts 1 hour with a mandatory stop at the pit lane. The duration of a stop is determined based on the average crew pace in the qualification. The minimum stopping time (for the slowest crew) is 1 minute. The interval for stopping is from the end of the 20th until the end of the 35th minute of the race. Start on the move.

MitJet and Formula Russia : during the stage, two races of 20 minutes are held. The race lasts 10 laps, the starting grid is formed on the first race day according to the results of qualification, in the second - according to the results of the first race. Start on the move.

Legends : during the stage, two races of 20 minutes are held. The race lasts 10 laps, the starting grid in each of the racing days is formed according to the results of qualification and hit. Start on the move.

According to the results of each race, rewarding is held in the individual and team standings of classes.

Stage Winners

After each race, three pilots or crews rise to the podium, but the winners of the entire stage are announced at the end of the race day. They become the athletes who scored the maximum number of points in a total of two races. If the points are equal, the winner is determined by the best result in the second race (for the classes “Touring”, “Super Production”, “Touring Light”, “National”, “MitJet”, “Formula Russia” and “Legends” ). Scoring in the team event is based on the total points scored by the drivers declared by the team at the stage.

For the “GT-Rus” class, points are not cumulative in stages. Each stage for this class is independent and separate.
