The Harcourt Tower ( Harkortturm ) is an observation memorial tower in the German city of Wetter (Ruhr) ( North Rhine-Westphalia ). The tower is located on the north shore of the Harcourt reservoir on the Harcourt de: Harkortberg hill in the spurs of the mountainous Ardaigebirge region at an altitude of 197 meters above sea level .

The tower was built with private donations in honor of a prominent German political and industrial figure, Friedrich Wilhelm Harcourt, shortly after his death. The tower was opened on October 19, 1884 .
On December 20, 1984, the Harcourt Tower was taken under state protection as a monument of history and architecture. In 2009, in honor of the 125th anniversary of the tower, its large-scale restoration was carried out. In 2011, the tower was included in the list of objects of the regional project “The Path of Industrial Culture” of the Ruhr region .
The height of the tower is 35 m; a staircase of 130 steps leads to the observation deck.
