Kryvyi Rih Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine ( Ukrainian: Kryvyy Rih Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine ) is a state research institution as part of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine .

Content
History
The initial decision to create a botanical garden in Krivoy Rog (Kryvyi Rih stronghold of the Donetsk Botanical Garden ) was made by the Presidium of the Ukrainian SSR Academy of Sciences in December 1972 and approved in 1975 . In 1980, a land area of 52.4 hectares was allocated for the future botanical garden. In accordance with the decree No. 115 of the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR of June 25, 1981 "On the creation of the Krivoy Rog branch of the Donetsk Botanical Garden", work began on its creation, the department itself was opened in 1989 .
On May 20, 1992, the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine adopted Decree No. 144 “On the creation on the basis of the Krivoy Rog branch of the Donetsk Botanical Garden of an independent institution in the system of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine - Krivoy Rog Botanical Garden”. The Botanical Garden is located on the left slope of the Spell Beam .
Feature
The following departments are part of the Kryvyi Rih Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine:
- optimization of technogenic landscapes;
- introductions and acclimatization of plants ;
- natural flora ;
- plant physiology and soil biology;
- cultivation of plants for their subsequent planting in the soil on the territory of parks, alleys, landscaping of dumps of quarries (funds from environmental funds were allocated for this).
Collection
The collection fund of the Krivoy Rog Botanical Garden is:
- wood and shrub plants - 665 species and forms, 120 varieties;
- flower and decorative - 811 species, shapes and copts;
- tropical and subtropical - 890 taxa;
- medicinal - 170 species;
- rare and endangered - 165 species;
- soil-covering - 124 species;
- plants of natural flora - 520 species.
