By origin, Tserial was an Italian . Prior to his consulate, he was a legate of the province of Norik . The series held this position until the adoption of Edict Caracalla in 212, since in the inscription, where he is mentioned as a legate, the inhabitants of his province are not considered Roman citizens .
Under Emperor Caracalla, in 215, Ceria served as consul along with Quintus Metzius Summer . In the years 217/218 he was a legate of the province of Cappadocia . Here Tserial was killed in 219 by order of the emperor Heliogabal because of his suspicious behavior [1] . His son Mark Munacy Sulla Urban was also a consul.
