Biography
Sebastian Francis Shah was born on November 14, 1956 in Pakistan. August 2, 1989 joined the monastic order of the Franciscans. After receiving a theological education at the seminary of Christ the King in Karachi, he was ordained a priest on December 6, 1991 . From 1991 to 1995 he taught at a minor seminary in Lahore and was a Franciscan provincial in Pakistan.
On February 14, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI appointed Sebastian Francis Shah the titular bishop of Tinum and the auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of Lahore. On April 25, 2009, he was ordained a bishop.
On November 14, 2013, Pope Francis appointed Sebastian Francis Shah as Archbishop of Lahore.
