Aneityum is a stratovolcano . Height above sea level - 852 meters.
The Aneityum Volcano consists of two merged volcanoes Inrerow Ataman (812 m.) And Nanavarez (804 m.), Which were formed in the Pleistocene era. Outskirts of volcanoes surround circuses. Volcanic activity ceased during the Late Pleistocene - Early Holocene . The composition of igneous rocks is mainly represented by basalts .
The foothills of the volcano are rich in plant life and represent various types of orchids, sandalwood. Flora primarily belongs to the Australian region. The surroundings of the volcano are inhabited by people for a rather long period, petroglyphs are drawn on the rocks.
