History
American Jonathan Notley (MC Bliss), who moved to Australia in 1992 at the age of thirteen, Australian Max McKinnon (MC Eso) and the son of Moroccan migrants Tarik Edjamai (DJ Izm) were familiar from high school, where they first tried to read rap. Later they formed a group, calling it Bliss n Esoterikizm, but for most people it seemed too long. In 2000, they presented their mini-album The Arrival, followed by an untitled mixtape , which was supposed to draw attention to their next work, their debut album. The album Flowers in the Pavement was released in 2004 via Obese Records.
The group won the Hip Hop Artist of the Year 2004 nomination at the Music Oz Awards 2003. In December 2005, they performed at the opening act of 50 cent , presenting their album Get Rich Or Die Tryin ' along with G-Unit and Lil Jon .
Then Bliss n Eso signed to Illusive Sounds, where they released their second album, Day of the Dog (March 4, 2006). The music on the album was written by several producers, it has collaborative songs with British rappers MC Motley and Mystro, as well as with Sydney's Amesey Hyjak. Day of the Dog started on line 43 of the Australian ARIA Albums Chart, becoming the first Australian hip-hop album to hit the top 50.
In April and March 2006 the group went on a tour of the country. A year later, a remix album from producer M-Phazes was titled Day of the Dog: Phazed Out.
On April 26, 2008, they presented their third album, Flying Colors.
In 2010, their fourth album, Running On Air, was released.
