Career
Club
At the age of twelve, he became a player of the youth team " Vashutash ", in which he played for 7 years. In the summer of 1974 he moved to the capital club Uypest-Doge . Thanks to good technique, the ability to score goals and give partners unexpected programs for the opponent, Tёröchik quickly became one of the new leaders of the team [1] . In the composition of "Ujpest" Tёrёchik three times became the champion of Hungary and the winner of the Cup . Twice, in 1977 [2] and 1981 [3], Töröczyk was among the best players in Europe according to a survey by France Football magazine.
Turechik was a favorite of Uipesht fans, who supported him by chanting “Dance, Töre!” ( Hung. Táncolj, Törő! ) [4] .
In the off-season in 1985, Terechik became a player in the French club Montpellier . The Hungarian Football Federation allowed football players to enter into foreign contracts only after reaching the age of thirty, so Töröczyk was able to go to a foreign club already past the peak of his career [5] . In France, Andras won one season , took part in the 31 official game “Montpellier” and scored 4 goals [6] , of which in Division 2 : 26 matches, 3 goals [7] . Finished his career at home, in the Hungarian clubs " Volan " and MTC .
In the national team
He made his debut as part of the Hungarian national team on October 13, 1976 in a friendly game with the Austrian national team in Vienna, in which the guests achieved a victory with a score of 4: 2 [8] . The first goal for the national team was scored on February 9, 1977 in Lima, against the gates of the national team of Peru , which did not prevent the Peruvians from winning with the score 3: 2 [8] .
The first official match for Hungary’s national team was the butt meeting in Budapest with the national team of Bolivia as part of the qualifying tournament for the World Cup 1978 on October 29, 1977, in the 18th minute, Terёchik scored 2-0 in favor of the Hungarian team, and the final result of the meeting was 6 : 0 in favor of the home team [9] . In the second game, Töröcík opened the scoring in the 36th minute, but in the end the Hungarians won 3-2 and reached the final tournament [10] . The year 1977 became very successful for the team at the level of the national team: he became one of the team's top scorers, scoring 7 goals; the same was on the account of his partner in the attack Tibor Nyilashi [11] . In the final tournament of the World Championship, Teryachik took part in two meetings [8] , in the end of the opening match against Argentina national team the judge removed Terёchik and Nyilasi for rudeness [12] . As a result, the Hungarian national team lost all three matches in the group and dropped out of the tournament [13] .
In the qualifying tournament of the 1980 European Championship, Tёrechik played just two games [8] , but became one of the key players of the Hungarian team in a match with the USSR national team in Tbilisi on May 19, 1979, which ended with a score of 2: 2. Turechik overplayed the players of the defense of the Soviet national team and gave an assist to Laszlo Pustai when he scored the second goal against the national team of the Soviet Union [14] . In the qualifying tournament for the 1982 World Cup, Töröcik played in all eight matches of the team [8] and was considered to be one of the leading players of the Hungarian national team before the start of the championship finals [15] . Töröczyk took part in two matches without scoring a single goal [8] , and the Hungarian team again failed to overcome the first group stage, finishing third in the group [16] .
András Töröczyk was one of the main players of the Hungarian national team and in the qualifying tournament of the European Championship 1984 , entered the field in 5 matches, scored one goal: on December 3, 1983, against Greece [8] . By that time, both teams have already lost the chance to continue the fight [17] . The ball to the gates of the Greeks was for Andrash Tёrёchik last for the national team. Although he was summoned to the training camp of the Hungarian national team to prepare for the 1986 World Cup , Töröczyk was injured and did not make it to the national team for the championship [18] .
