Bender Kong [1] ( pers. کنگ ) is a port city in southern Iran , in the province of Hormozgan . It is part of the Bender-Lenge shakhrestan . The eighth most populated city in the province [2] .

Geography
The city is located in the western part of Hormozgan, on the plain of Hermsir , on the coast of the Persian Gulf . Bender Kong is located approximately 145 kilometers southwest of Bandar Abbas , the provincial capital and 1057 kilometers south-east (SSE) from Tehran , the country's capital. The nearest airport is located in the city of Bandar-Lenge [3] .

According to the census, in 2006 the population was 14,881 people [2] .
