A Brief Historical Review

The settlement belongs to the once most powerful military feudal clan Baskhoy . Which did not belong to Tukkhum Cheberloy, the members of the clan are known for their bellicose exploits of freedom, worthy of respect, and a hospitable character. Baskhoy is one of the oldest and oldest teips of Chechnya. According to legend, the founder was Basahan. The settlement was founded around the 12th century, during the era of mass feudal stratification of society almost throughout the continent. Most likely by the beginning of the millennium BC. e. the ancestors of the Baskhoytsev well showed their military potential, unquestioned authority and entrenched as a completely independent military-feudal society with its aristocratic "elite". In the 11th century, the village consisted of 457 yards. In the Caucasian war, the legend says Shamil subordinated all Chechens under the pretext of the Free Caucasus, doing as it were for the maintenance of the army, imposed Sharia laws on the whole of Chechnya. Soon it was the turn of the Baskhoys to accept the conditions to pay. But instead of what was expected, Shamil was given a completely different message: How can there be a shepherd yesterday with our Imam: “Come, we have prepared a donkey with two bags: one for you and one for your Sharia.” Shamil accepted the challenge as a personal insult in a rage sent troops to humble the Baskhoys, but along the way received a fierce rebuff from the Chaberlois, he began his insidious plan to destroy everyone in his path, the shelling was carried out with guns at the villages and villages where peaceful people lived, but Bunikha and Khinda Hinda Sha1a and Ma1ash Baskhoy were the first to lead the attack in this defense and Ma1ash Baskha arrived in time with his squad, but since the forces were not equal, there were a lot of killed in this battle, but nevertheless, according to the stories, Shamil had an army for the sake of the imamate’s opinion in the Caucasus to sign a peace treaty and retreat so as not to get contention among the other Chechens who served with him. The tradition says that the battle was very heavy on the part of the Baskhoys, since the forces were not equal, but freedom for the Baskhoys was more important than to be subjugated by a shepherd. and also the legend says that among the Baskhoys the leader of that defense was Ma1ash, and from the neighboring clan Hyinda Sha1a.
