Ekaterina Valeryevna Krysanova (born March 22, 1985 , Moscow , USSR ) is a Russian ballerina. The prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Theater since 2011 . People's Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania ( 2013 ). Student of Svetlana Adyrkhaeva . Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (2018).

Biography
Born in 1985 in Moscow . In 1995 she was admitted to the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Singing Center. Later transferred to the choreographic school of Mikhail Lavrovsky . In 2001 she entered the Moscow State Academic Art Theater (Moscow Academy of Choreography). While still a student, she performed the part of Lisette in the ballet “The Magic Flute” by R. Drigo. In 2003 she graduated from the Moscow State Art Academy and was admitted to the Bolshoi Theater of the Russian Federation . Over the years of work at the Bolshoi, she performed a large repertoire, from classical to modern. In 2008, she was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, and in 2013, the title of People's Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, in 2011 she became the prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Theater . Since 2003, her tutor and mentor is People's Artist of the USSR Svetlana Adyrkhaeva .
