Ida Jungqvist ( Swede. Ida Ljungqvist ; September 27, 1981 , Tanzania ) is a Tanzanian - Swedish fashion model . She was named Playmate of the month by Playboy Magazine in March 2008 and in 2009 became Playmate of the Year. Jungquist is the first model of African descent and the second model of Swedish descent, which was named Playmate of the Year [1] . She is also the first Playmate of the year to publicly donate her charitable title through nonprofit charities and foundations.

Jungquist was born in Tanzania in the family of a Tanzanian mother and a Swedish father [2] . It was “opened” in 2007 by Playmate of the Year by Sarah Gene Underwood at the Bebe store at Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills , California [3] .
Jungquist hosted a 2009 Playboy New Year's Eve party in Miami , Florida , along with several other Playmate [4] .
Personal life
Since her father worked at UNICEF , Jungquist traveled a lot. She speaks English , Swedish and Swahili .
Since the announcement of her Playmate of the Year, Jungquist has been working with Empowerment Works , an international nonprofit think tank . Her work includes raising awareness about the organization and raising funds [5] [6] .
Jungquist has a degree in fashion design and marketing and plans to study economics.
In December 2007, Jungquist married Joshua R. Lang. After 5 years of marriage, Lang filed for divorce in September 2008. In November 2008, MSNBC reported a lawsuit between them over their pet - a dog of the Chihuahua breed [7] .
