Features

The planet is a massive gas giant or even a light brown dwarf , orbiting an orange giant of spectral class K2 [1] . The mass of the planet exceeds the mass of Jupiter by 8-20 times. The object is drawn at an average distance of 1.85 AU from the parent star and makes a complete revolution in 472 Earth days. The planet’s orbit has a noticeable eccentricity [1] .

The surface temperature of the planet must be very high, since HD 13189 is an orange giant and emits 4,000 times more light than the Sun [1] .
