History
The club was formed in 1882 and soon became the leading club in the county of Oxfordshire, winning the Amateur Cup of England in 1906, even before joining the Isthmian League.
In the second half of the 20th century, an attempt was made to return to the club to success in 1979, when the club became a limited liability company, and later the legendary Bobby Moore was appointed manager. The club reached its lowest point in 1988 when it was disbanded. The club was forced to leave the Isthmian League. The club was re-founded in 1990, when it entered the South Middles League, winning the competition in its first season. They returned to the Isthmian League in 1993. Oxford City later entered the Vase Cup. The main successes of the next decade are associated with the Isthmian League. The most successful FA Cup was the draw in 1999-2000, when they won Wick and Oxford United [1] . In 2005, the club was relegated back to the South Midlands League, but again the first time it won thanks to manager Line. In November 2006, Line resigned as manager and became the club’s sports director. Justin Merritt became his successor. The club currently has more than 30 branches chaired by Brian Cox, with different teams; for men, women, boys and girls. In the 2011/2012 season, Oxford City took 2nd place. They won the final of the AFC Totton playoffs, and went to the Northern Conference for the first time in their history.
