Territories Saugor and Nerbudda ( English Saugor and Nerbudda Territories ) - a region of British India that existed in the first half of the XIX century.
In 1818, Great Britain defeated the Marathas during the Third Anglo- Marath War . The lands confiscated as a result of the war from the Maratha peshva (in the north) along with the residence of the Maratsk governor in the city of Saugor , and the lands in the upper reaches of Narmada ("Nerbuddy") with the city of Jabalpur , confiscated from the Nagpur princes from the Bhonsle dynasty (in the south), were together “territories of Saugor and Nerbudd” (territories of modern districts Sagar , Damokh , Jabalpur and Narsinghpur, Indian state of Madhya Pradesh ). The capital and military headquarters of the territories was the city of Jabalpur, administratively they entered the North-Western provinces .
In 1861, the Saugor and Nerbudda Territories were merged with the Nagpur Province , resulting in the formation of the Central Provinces .
