Biography
After the death of his grandfather, Dayan Khan, Bodi-Alag Khan was to occupy the Mongol khan throne . However, he was opposed by his uncle Barsbolod-ginon , the third son of Dayan Khan, who took the khan's throne. Three years later, Bodi-Alag Khan, in alliance with another uncle Arsubolod, opposed the Mongol Khan Barsbolod. Barsbolod , in order to avoid bloodshed, was forced to abandon the throne in favor of his nephew Bodi-Alag Khan.
He had three sons ( Goden Daraisun-taiji , Huhutsetei-taiji and Ongon Durahal-taiji). The next successor khans of Dayan Khan directly controlled the chahars , and although they had formal authority over the rest of the Mongols, they did not have real power to control them.
