Biography
In 1547, after the death of his father, the Mongol Khan, Bodi-Alag-Khan , Daraisun-Goden-Khan occupied the Khan's throne. However, Daraisun-Goden-Khan ruled only the Chahari Tumen , without having real power over the other Mongolian Tumens. Daraisun-Goden-khan joined the fight against the powerful Altan-khan , the ruler of the Tumet tumen . Altan Khan ( Amda ) forced Daraisun-Goden-Khan to flee from his nomads to the east. In 1551, Daraisun-Goden-Khan made a compromise with Altan-Khan , recognized his leadership in the Mongolian world, and refused in his favor the title "Goden-Khan". Daraisun Khan was forced to move from the imperial palace to the eastern Mongolian steppes, on the border with Manchuria . Although most Mongol nobles still recognized the great Khan Daraysun Khan as their leader, he had no real power.
The sons of Daraisun-Goden-Khan are Tumen-taiji , Yonta Durahal, Bag Darkhan and Daychin-taiji.
