History
The village was founded in 1908, when the first settlers arrived from the Kherson and Tauride provinces (territories of modern Ukraine ). The initial name of the village is Osokarovka or the village of Osokorovskoye [2] .
On December 28, 1940, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR, the Osakarovsky district with the center in the village of Osakarovka was formed as part of the Karaganda region [2] .

Located on the highway Astana - Karaganda .
Population
In 1999, the population of the village was 8080 people (3719 men and 4361 women) [3] . According to the 2009 census , 8,046 people (3,793 men and 4,253 women) lived in the village [3] .
