Biography

In 1989 he graduated from Ploskovsky high school. In the same year he was called up to serve in the ranks of the Soviet Army .

In 1991, he entered as a novice in the Holy Dormition Pochaev Lavra and enlisted in the number of brethren of the monastery.

From 1992 to 1996 he studied at the Pochaev Theological Seminary , in parallel carried the obedience of the librarian and the guide of the Monastery.

December 23, 1993 adopted a monastic name Roman.

On February 20, 1994, at the Divine Liturgy, Bishop Theodore (Gayun) , the vicar of Lavra, was ordained deacon .

On February 15 of the same year, he was appointed First Assistant to the Deanery Lavra by the Spiritual Council of the Pochaev Lavra.

On June 2, 1995, he was appointed to obedience by the installer of the Lavra and to the regent of the brotherly choir.

On June 18, 1995, in the Holy Dormition Cathedral, Bishop Theodore was ordained to the priesthood.

In 1996 he was appointed Regent of the Bishop's Choir of the Pochaev Lavra.

On May 10, 2001, Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Vladimir (Sabodan) was elevated to the rank of hegumen .

On December 14, 2007, by the decision of the Holy Synod of the UOC, he was appointed governor of the Nativity of the Virgin in a male monastery in the village of Gorodishche, Shepetovsky District.

In 2008, he was elevated to the rank of archimandrite with the right to use the rod by Bishop Vladimir (Melnik) .

January 9, 2009 received the right to wear the abbot's staff.

On May 5, 2009 he was awarded the Order in honor of the 1020th anniversary of the Baptism of Russia .

On October 16, 2010, he was awarded the Order on the occasion of the celebration of the 450th anniversary of the transfer to Volyn of the Pochaev Icon of the Mother of God.

In 2011, he graduated from the Uzhgorod Ukrainian Theological Academy and received a master’s degree in theology.

On July 20, 2012, the Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was elected Bishop of Konotop and Glukhovsky [1] .

He was called Bishop on July 21 in the Church of All Saints of St. Panteleimon's Monastery in Feofania, Kiev. The title of naming was headed by Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Vladimir .

July 22, 2012 in the cathedral church of the Holy Panteleimon convent in Feofania is consecrated bishop. Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Vladimir (Sabodan) , Metropolitan of Vyshgorod and Chernobyl Pavel (Lebed) , Metropolitan of Pochayevsky Voladimir, Archbishop of Borispolsky Anthony (Pakanich) , Archbishop Yagotinsky Seraphim (Demianov) , as an artist, and Archbishop of St. Petersburg and St. Petersburg, made Archbishop of Kiev and All Ukraine; Archbishop Alexander Gorodnitsky (Nesterchuk) , Bishop of Alexandria and Svitlovodsky Antony (Borovik) , Bishop of Vasilkovsky Panteleimon (Povoroznyuk) , Bishop of Shepetovsky and Slavuta Dionysius (Konstantinov) [2] .
