Pyatigorsk Cup

Pyatigorsky Cup - international chess competitions organized at the expense of G. Pyatigorsky, an American cellist of Russian origin. Held in Los Angeles ( 1963 ) and Santa Monica ( 1966 ). Successfully performed by Soviet chess players - winners of both tournaments.

Winners

  • 1963 - 1-2. P. Keres , T. Petrosyan - 8½ points out of 14.
  • 1966 - 1. B. Spassky - 11½ points out of 18.
