Mohammad Ibrahim Bastani-Parisi ( Persian محمدابراهیم باستانی پاریزی ; December 24, 1924 , Kerman , Iran - March 25, 2014 , Tehran , Iran ) is a prominent historian and author of most modern works on the history of Iran .

He has published over sixty books and hundreds of articles on the history of Iran, its geography and literature [1] . He held a position in society as a teacher and scientist with a great contribution to science. His deep affection for his native Kerman , this ancient city in central Iran , formed the basis of most of his works. In his opinion, Kerman is a hologram through which you can study the whole history of Iran .
He taught at the faculty of literature and humanities at Tehran University for over five decades. Among his most important publications are Muhit-e Siyasi va Zindagani-yi Mushir al-Dauleh) (1962), Hemaseh Kavir (1967), Siyasat va Iqtisad-e 'Asr-e Safavi (1969) and Tarikh-e Kirman (1973). In addition to his prolific academic and scientific work, he also published a volume of poems.
