Created February 22, 1649 by the Council of England. It is a combination of 4 flags: in the upper right and lower left corners of the flag of England; in the upper left and lower right corners - Scotland. In 1653 replaced by the flag of the Protectorate of England . In 1659 restored. In 1660 replaced by the flag of the kingdom of England
