Mogilev Zoo

It is located on the left along the Dnieper on an area of ​​124 hectares. A walking route is equipped along the perimeter of the zoo, there are observation platforms. Visitors, moving along a fenced path and going to special observation towers, have the opportunity to observe animals in their usual conditions.

The main part of the zoo is occupied by spacious enclosures in which the inhabitants of the Belarusian forests live - bison , deer, wild boars , moose , roe deer , wolves , foxes, raccoon dogs , etc. ^[1]

In addition, the zoo is inhabited by the Ussuri tiger , red deer , lynx , sheep, rabbits, ducks, capercaillie , owl , owl , pheasant , kites , etc.

The railway began to function in the zoo in the spring of 2009. The train can reach speeds of up to 10 km / h. The road is 2 km long and allows you to get to know the inhabitants of a large aviary. In the aviary you can see the Bialowieza bison, European fallow deer and sika deer.

Traveling by rail, you can observe the branched system of canyons that formed on the territory of the zoo in the ice age. In the zone of intensive visit to the zoo, part of the canyon was transformed into an artificial reservoir, which is inhabited by representatives of the aquatic fauna of our republic - ducks and swans.

The zoo is adjoined by the stylized “Belarusian Ethnographic Village” - an open-air museum. In the village you can visit the house of a blacksmith, potter, get acquainted with the life of the Belarusian people of the early XX century. The landowner’s estate housed a cafe and a hotel, and in peasant houses were workshops of artisans and souvenir shops.
