Sachenko, Boris Ivanovich

Boris Ivanovich Sachenko ( Belorussian. Barys Ivanavich Sachanka , May 15, 1936 , Veliky Bor , Khoiniki district - July 5, 1995 , Minsk ) - Soviet and Belarusian prose writer, publicist, translator . Laureate of the State Prize of the Byelorussian SSR named after Yakub Kolas (1982). The father of the Belarusian poetess and literary critic Svetlana Yavar and the Belarusian journalist and writer Galina Bogdanova.

Content

Biography

Father, Ivan Nikolaevich, worked in a chemical forest farm. Mother, Vera Mikhailovna, worked on a collective farm, taking care of children, of whom there were seven in the family. In 1943, the Nazis burned the Great Bor , and in June of that year, Boris, together with his parents, was taken to Germany . He worked on a German landowner farm.

He returned to his homeland in 1945. After returning, he graduated from school in Khoiniki . He studied at the Belarusian State University at the journalism department of the philological faculty of BSU (1955-1960).

While studying at the Faculty of Philology, he began working in the journal "Leader" . Further in the magazine " Polymya ", publishing houses "Mastatskaya Literatura" and " Belarusian Encyclopedia named after Petrus Brovka ", as well as the secretary of the Union of Writers of the BSSR . In 1993-1995, he was the chief editor of the Belarusian Encyclopedia Publishing House.

He participated in the XXXV session of the UN General Assembly (1980). Member of the Union of Writers of the USSR (since 1960).

He died on July 5, 1995 in Minsk .

Galina “The Apostles of the Spatkanne” (staged in 1980), selected works by M. Prishvin , S. Nikitin, V. Bogomolov, P. Mirny, M. Kotyubinsky , F. Kreitzwald et al.
