Biography
He studied medicine and science in Uppsala and Jena . In 1859 he was appointed assistant, and in 1867 the head of the entomological collections of the Natural History Imperial Museum . The scientific works of Stol concern mainly the systematics and classification of Hemoptera and Orthoptera. In this area, the work of the Tables was of great importance in establishing the exact generic and other characteristics of the named insects.
