Description
The shield has an open city gate with seven prongs. Above them, in two rows, eight (four in a row) walled stones; in the middle of the open gate is an image of the coat of arms of Ukraine . Under the gate are two crossed laurel branches tied with yellow-blue ribbons.
The emblem is framed by a bronze cartouche crowned with a five-tower city crown.
Options
A small coat of arms can also be used, without a cartouche or crown.
The coat of arms of Chernivtsi is executed in two versions: color and black and white. The black-and-white version of the coat of arms uses the following designation of colors ( shading ): scarlet (red) color - vertical hatching; silver (white) - a white field; gold (bronze, yellow) - dots; azure (blue) - horizontal hatching.
