History
At first, the street was called Bolshaya Prosyanoy and belonged to the village of Kiziyar (Malaya Prosyanaya was located on the modern street of Pavel Dzyakovich ). In this status, it was first mentioned on August 19, 1930 in the newspaper "Radyansky Step" ( Russian. "Soviet Steppe").
On January 3, 1939, the plenum of the Melitopol City Council decided to join the villages of Kiziyar and Peschanoye to the city.
Boris Mikhailov Street was last mentioned as Bolshaya Prosyanaya on June 26, 1943 in the newspaper “Melitopol Territory” in an announcement, and already on December 20, 1946, the minutes of the city executive committee meeting were referred to as Kominterna Street. [2]
On October 21, 1965, the beginning of the street was singled out in a separate 1st Frunze Lane , which still exists today.
In 2016, the street was renamed in honor of Boris Mikhailov, in accordance with the law on the de-communization of Ukraine.
