History
It was formed as a village of the Kamchatka timber industry in 1960. It got its name in honor of the explorer V.V. Atlasov . In 1965, the Atlas Forestry was formed. In 1974-1997, Atlasovo had the status of an urban-type settlement .

The main branch of the economy is the harvesting and processing of wood.
