Leptopsyllidae (lat.) - a family of fleas ( Ceratophylloidea ). About 200 species [1] . They have teeth on tergites 1–4. The 8th tergite of males is well developed, and the 9th tergite of females is completely reduced. Most of the species are represented in the Palearctic (87% or 205 species and 26 genera). In the Nearctic - 17 species and 7 genera; in Afrotropic and Southeast Asia - 10 species and 3-4 genera. Parasites on mammals, mainly from the hamster and mouse families [2] [3] .
