The 55th Golden Globe Awards for Cinematography and Television Awards in 1997 was held on January 18, 1998 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel ( Los Angeles , California , USA ). The nominees were announced on December 18, 1997 [1] .

The big-budget blockbuster Titanic , directed by James Cameron , was nominated for an award in eight nominations and was awarded four awards, including prizes for the best drama film and the best direction.
