It is part of the Sosnovsky rural settlement [1] , in terms of administrative-territorial division - in the Sosnovsky village council.
The distance by road to the regional center of Vologda is 25.5 km, to the center of the municipality of Sosnovka - 6 km. The nearest settlements are Koryukino , Terpelka , Erofeyka , Avdotino , Lapach , Striznevo , Runovo , Meniki , Chernukhino .
According to the 2002 census, the population is 449 people (198 men, 251 women). The predominant nationality is Russian (96%) [2] .
