It is a part of Staroselsky rural settlement [1] , from the point of view of administrative and territorial division - into Staroselsky village council.
The distance along the road to the district center of Vologda is 48 km, to the center of the municipal entity Striznevo - 7 km. The nearest settlements are Duplino , Boltutino , Gorny .
According to the 2002 census, the population was 107 (49 men, 58 women). The predominant nationality is Russians (99%) [2] .
