It is part of the May rural settlement (from January 1, 2006 to April 8, 2009 it was part of the October rural settlement) [1] [2] , from the point of view of the administrative-territorial division , it was part of the October Village Council.
Geography
The distance to the regional center of Vologda by road is 29 km, to the center of the Maysky municipal formation in a straight line - 9 km. The nearest settlements are Akulovo , Dityatievo , Myagrino , Novoselovo , Smykovo .
Population
According to the 2002 census, the population is 60 people (28 men, 32 women). The predominant nationality is Russian (95%) [3] .
History
The village of Dulepovo was first mentioned in the written sources of the first half of the 16th century, when it belonged to the Prilutsky monastery and consisted of 4 yards [4] . Earlier, in the 15th century, the βreaping pillowcase of Dulepovβ was noted [4] .
Name Origin
The name of the village comes from the male personal nickname "Duleb" (Dulep), associated with a common noun, which in Russian dialects had the meaning "stupid, stupid man, a simpleton" [4] .
