The organization is headed by Archbishop Sergei Zhuravlev .
According to Zhuravlev himself, he had in his life repentance of sins before Jesus Christ and had unusual spiritual experiences in his adolescence and adulthood (the appearance of Jesus Christ in visions) [5]
Since 1988, he began his ministry in the Oryol-Bryansk (now Oryol-Liven) diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church as a reader and sexton . [5] In 1991 , after a short deacon’s ministry, he was ordained priest by Archbishop Simon (Novikov) and served as a full-time clergyman of the Ryazan and then Bryansk dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church. [5] Since the end of 1991, Sergey Zhuravlev has been the rector of Orthodox churches in the Ryazan and then Bryansk regions.
As rector of the St. Basil’s Church in the Bryansk Region [5] in 1996, Father Sergius (Zhuravlev) left the Russian Orthodox Church [5] and was later accused of “ Pentecostal heresy”, banned from service [3] , deprived of the priesthood by decree of the Archbishop Bryansk and Sevsky Melchizedek of August 27, 1996, and later excommunicated [6] .
In 1997, Zhuravlev and his family left for Ukraine , receiving support from a Catholic missionary from Slovakia, priest Father Josef Gunchagi. He taught at biblical schools, colleges and institutes of Protestant (charismatic, Pentecostal and Baptist ) churches, traveling with lectures to other countries, conducted seminars on the history of Christianity, paying particular attention to the reformation of the Church of our time. [7]
On February 3, 2001, he was anointed by representatives of charismatic organizations Sanday Adelaji , Alexei Ledyaev , Kent Mattox and John Eckhart [5] "for the apostolic ministry and the reformation of Orthodoxy" [5] .
On January 14, 2002, the hierarchs of the Apostolic Orthodox Church - Metropolitan Stefan Linitsky, Archbishop Kiriak Cemertidi, Bishop Sergiy Sarkisov and Bishop Alexander, with the consent of Metropolitan Vitaly Kuzhevaty, were ordained ( archbishop consecrated archbishop 5) and
Then Zhuravlev was approved by the archbishop of the Kiev Council of Bishops of the APOC in the Church of the Holy New Martyrs in Moscow , whom he was until the end of 2004. [5] Married, has 6 children [3]
In August 2012, the Archbishop of the Ukrainian Reformed Orthodox Church (URC) Sergey Zhuravlev became the Primate of the Reformed Orthodox Church of Christ the Savior (ROCA), which includes both the URC and some other Orthodox churches of the so-called new generation. [7]

Creed
He officially elevates his creed to the Calvinist "Eastern Confession of the Christian Faith" by Cyril Lukaris and the ideas of renovationism . In fact, it is a Protestant charismatic movement that uses Orthodox paraphernalia. Despite the name and external ritual, Orthodox asceticism ( monasticism of any kind), veneration of saints , icons , the Cross of the Lord and veneration of the Mother of God are rejected. The doctrines of evangelicalism are recognized - predestination for salvation, birth from above ( John 3 chapter), etc. Meetings and services, due to the lack of their own temples, are held in rented rooms of movie theaters, cultural houses, office rooms and Protestant prayer houses . Liturgy is not required in the communities, but the liturgy of John Chrysostom, translated and shortened by the clergy of the URC, is most often performed, and the sacrament is held using wine or grape juice. Bakery is performed through the prayers of both ordained and unappointed ministers; both female and universal priesthood are permitted. Adult baptism is considered preferred. Pedobaptism (infant baptism) is considered heresy [8] . The gifts of the Holy Spirit are recognized, including prayer in other languages (or glossolalia ).
