Included in the Kubensky rural settlement (from January 1, 2006 to April 8, 2009 was the center of the Vysokovsky rural settlement) [1] [2] , from the point of view of administrative and territorial division - the center of the Vysokovsky village council.
The distance to the district center of Vologda along the highway is 70 km, to the center of the municipal entity Kubensky in a straight line - 29 km. The nearest settlements are Dolmatovo , Lavrentievo , Domanovo , Borisoglebskoe , Yermolovo , Popovskoe .
According to the 2002 census, the population was 366 people (175 men, 191 women). The predominant nationality is Russians (99%) [3] .
