Lepidasthenia mossambica (lat.) Is a species of marine polychaete worms of the family Polynoidae from the order Phyllodocida [2] .

Distribution

Indian Ocean : Mozambique and the Red Sea . Pacific Ocean : Vietnam coast. Lepidasthenia mossambica is found at depths from 31 to 63 m [3] [4] .

Description

Body width about 1.7 mm (without parapodia). The eyes are large. The palms are long. All elites are about the same size, translucent, bright, smooth, and have a pigment band. Cirrophors and elitrophors are short. Notopodia is underdeveloped. The head lobe with three tentacles (one medial and two lateral) [3] . The prostomium is divided into two parts by the medial groove. Parapodia are bifurcated. All bristles (sets) are simple [2] [5] [6] .
